Notes
Edition of the first crocodile prototype ever manufactured by Märklin for the H0 gauge from 1936 as the 2025 trade fair locomotive in the company colors of the trade fair locomotive series. Chassis and body made of die-cast zinc. Both bogies are powered by blind shafts and coupling rods. Factory-installed MFX decoder, so the locomotive can also be used on todays systems. Due to the reproduction of the historical pattern, a sufficient clearance profile must be guaranteed. Light change, analogue operation. Spring-loaded roof pantographs without electrical function Role model history: The model of the crocodile in H0 was originally planned as early as 1936, was to come onto the market under the item number CCS 700 and, to ensure sales success, was to be exhibited at trade fairs such as the Leipzig Spring Fair. But - not least due to the circumstances of the time - it remained a prototype. This locomotive has now been chosen to enrich the series of Märklin trade fair locomotives in the corresponding black and red color scheme and to keep alive the feeling for model railway play from times long past. The locomotive creates a bridge between times, so that it can also be understood as an appreciation for the model railway trade fairs of the time and is proof of how long the hobby of model railways has existed.
